Winchester is a little berg in North Central Idaho perched as the gateway to the Camas Prairie is in fact your are going south on highway 95. If you are going North, well then we are the Gateway to Idaho's only seaport in the Lewis-Clark Valley...Lewiston, ID where my husband & I grew up. We are ranchers and residetial and commercial land developers thanks to this little website that could: www.mlplandmore.com you won't see me there though because I have another LIFE. LOL
But back to Win Chester... Our Main claim to fame is we are OUT of any mainstream but only 20 minutes away if we want to experience traffic = crazy drivers and lots of semitrucks. LOL Winchester is the home and resting place for people all over the world seeking a beautiful retreat setting in the Winchester Lake State Park - truely one of the cleanest and most peaceful places on the planet. I chose to live here 26 years ago because we used to pay big bucks to go vacation in the deep snow or hiking in the fresh air (no moters running) wilderness. TEE HEE Now I live there in a county that is one of the least expensve places on the planet to live. Oh yes and we have snow here at 4,200 ` high (Craig Mountains) almost 6 months of the year!!
Also there is no level ground here so it is impossible to walk without GOOD TRED 'On Yer Feet'. LOL
We have 6 horses, 400 cows, 10 bulls, 3 working dogs, and 6 working cats. That's another thing about Winchester. We have lots of wild cats that everybody feed, hense NO RODENT population. No mosquitoes either to speak of and some say it is becuase of the cold nights at this elevation...
I was going to say people come here to live for the quality of life + we all have guns and we can shoot back - but hey - THAT's IDAHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NAMASTE,
Brenda McCann, Idaho Indigo USA Earth & Beyond...
Beyond? Yep, beyond the hounds of dogma... LOL

Re: HEY OH from Winchester, Idaho USA Earth....and some say beyond!!
Mon, September 11, 2006 - 12:22 PMI've passed through there a couple of times (between Lewiston and Grangeville), but I was paying more attention to my (at the time) girlfriend than the scenery, so I don't remember it.
